The Historical of Sukasada Park

Many tourists are curious about the history of Sukasada Park. Who would have thought that Sukasada Park was first built in 1909 by the King of Karangasem named I Gusti Bagus Jelantik who had the title Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem.

The King of Karangasem ordered 2 people from a Dutch architect named Van Den Hentz and a Chinese architect named Loto Ang to develop the Dirah pond. This park was finally completed in 1921. He made this park the resting palace of the King of Karangasem. Apart from being a resting place for the King, this park was also built as a place for flora to bloom and welcome royal guests of Karangasem.

Sukasada Park Is Attractive And Many Wonderful Memories

Apart from having a Dirah pond, Sukasada Park still has several other attractions that can amaze its visitors. Like a pillar building without a roof which is in a rather high place where visitors have to pass 100 steps to get to that place.

From the pillars of the building, tourists will be amazed by the privilege of the view of the blue sea and Ujung Beach. Then to the east, looking down, you can see the charm and uniqueness of the Sukasada Park architecture. In addition, in the upper eastern part there is a green hill called the Bisbis hill.

Several other attractions that can be found in Sukasada Park are as follows:

Pool Layout

In Sukasada Park there are 3 pools in 1 place with separate locations. Where 1 pond is in the south and 2 ponds in the north. In the middle of the south pond there is a building called Bale Bengong, a building that has no walls.

The pond area in the north is larger than the area in the south. In the middle of the pond to the north there is a bridge that is used to cross the pond.

In the middle of the pond which is connected by a bridge, there is a building that was used as the resting place of the king of Karangasem. Because the building where the king's resting place looks hanging, the local people call it a hanging palace. All pools are 1.5 meters deep.
