La Favela was born from the idea of husband and wife Gonzalo and Sandra Assiego. For them, building La Favela was like building their own home. Not a few funds were poured out to execute their idea. With the presence of Favela Bali, Sandra feels satisfied to be able to channel their respective passions.
What's Unique About La Favela
The name La Favela itself was inspired by the urban landscape in Rio. Hence, there are statues like in Rio de Janeiro in the outdoor area. Opened around the end of 2013, this restaurant consists of two areas, indoor and outdoor. Upon entering the semi-indoor area, you will pass through a semi-enclosed garden with lush foliage, a pond, and an artificial waterfall.
Upon entering the bar, diners will cross a small bridge with open chairs and tables on one side. The interior of the building also looks chic. The artistic walls are supported by the addition of retro and antique items. From lamps, wall clocks, to hanging photos that add to the Mexican feel.
La Favela Provides a Beautiful and Romantic Nuance
Visitors are not only spoiled with a comfortable place to relax, but also unique photo spots as a place to pose with a vintage background. The cafe bar at La Favela Seminyak itself serves Mediterranean-style food. If hungry, visitors can order heavy meals such as ribs-eyes, tenderloin, or Peruvian Ceviche with mixed seafood fillings, such as mahi-mahi or red snapper. If you're coming with friends, go for the large tapas set with a choice of shrimp or octopus.
There is also a private room available for those who want to enjoy a private dinner or event. So visitors need not worry about coming to La Favela and not wanting to be too distracted by the hustle and bustle around. During the day, La Favela is a fairly quiet restaurant, but at night it transforms into a lively club. La Favela Club is usually present every weekend and is a haven for hipsters to dance.
Visitors can come at any time, if it's just to eat or relax, come in the afternoon, but if you want to join the nightlife, the best time is at night.
