Unique Tourism Destinations Goa Gala-Gala

Nusa Lembongan Island is part of the island of Bali which is located in the Klungkung area. A well-known area besides offering charming beach views and beautiful underwater views, it also presents a variety of unique tourist objects. Gala-Gala Cave is one such unique tourist attraction. This cave is an underground house and is a tourist spot besides the beach on Nusa Lembongan Island, Klungkung which is a popular tourist destination.

The gala-gala or Goa tourist destination was built by a puppeteer named Mangku Byasa (deceased) in 1961 for 15 years. Of course, to become this spectacular workplace requires hard work, commitment, and self-confidence. So do not be surprised if this place becomes the next mandatory tourist destination on the island of Nusa Lembongan, Klungkung.

The History of Goa Gala-Gala

Gala-gala Cave (underground house) was probably built because it was inspired by the story of the Pandawa family in the Mahabarata epic, where the Pandawa family had to flee to the middle of the forest and make a hiding place in the form of a cave or underground house. The epic Mahabrata was composed by Bhagawan Vyasa, a Maharsi from India.

The underground house on the island of Nusa Lembongan, Klungkung, is actually not the only gala-gala cave, but there is another underground house made by Mangku Byasa which is adjacent to Dream Beach Nusa Lembongan, the house has only one entrance.

The existence of an underground house in the Dream Beach area indicates that the carving of a house called Rawan Kembang was completed in 1962, maybe in the future it will be managed so that it becomes a new tourist destination which is a cultural heritage from the past. Well, the Gala-gala Cave house is the next underground house construction which was completed in 1976.
