Mount Abang Kintamani is in the same location as Mount Batur, the position is face to face, Mount Abang is to the east and Mount Batur to the west. Having an altitude of about 2152 meters above sea level, Mount Abang is the highest point of the caldera embankment that surrounds Mount Batur, which covers an area of 13.8 x 10 km.

Mount Abang Kintamani Provides Climbing Routes

The beginning of the hiking trail is quite uphill, but about 15 minutes into the trip, the road flattens out a bit. If when visitors start climbing and see a red glow in the sky, then it is the slopes of Mount Abang that are on fire. The trail will be covered in ash from the forest fires. Along the way, visitors may encounter a dark forest with large trees. The ground is a little loose and dusty, so be careful as you may slip.

Just like other mountains in general, the surrounding nature offers views of trees, and the tracking path to the top of the mountain is filled with plants and bushes. Even so, after getting there, all the fatigue will pay off with its natural beauty. At the top there is a temple made of bricks without walls that stands firmly. Then, next to it there are three pelinggih that have been destroyed. The scenery at Mount Abang is truly a feast for the eyes, perfect for taking selfies.

Travel Route to Mount Abang Kintamani

To get to the foot of the mountain will take approximately 40 minutes by car. The route taken is from Bangli City straight north, towards Kintamani. Arriving at the Geopark Museum, turn left towards Suter. Arriving at the T-junction, go straight and take the small road to the middle of the forest. After arriving at the foot of the mountain, visitors may be able to prepare themselves for a moment such as warming up before finally making the climb.
